Yes, it is disturbing. Those bands from the first season look restrictive. ;P

Define restrictive. I refuse to check my 1978 dictionary.

Able to prevent you from great movement or ability - for one thing, it would be difficult to wear a watch...

HOLY F***. I admire the evil look... but robots are weak. 'Sides... the taller Metal Sonic from the first few games was much shweeter. Have they ever included that look in any of the series?

I don't think they've showed him like that...yet.

The tall Metal Sonics are made after the original, which is the guy in my pic, avy, and sig. The taller Metal Sonics were also much weaker. The only one that proved to be powerful at all was the one who was able to turn into Super Form. The original Metal Sonic still remains the most dangerous, and also became the main bad guy in Sonic Heroes, as he had intelligence of his own. Not just some lifeless robot. He's actually, in fact, one of the most powerful (and merciless) characters in the series. He can fly faster than Sonic, he's much more durable due to being metal, and he can copy data to gain the abilities of other people, not just Sonic. He copied Shadow's abilities in Heroes, which gave him the ability to stop time. He has a built-in laser in his gut, and his metal armor actually was so protective, a freaking plane hit him faster than the speed of sound, and he was still perfectly okay aside from one or two scratch marks. He also had a super form himself, as shown in Sonic Heroes. He could turn into a gigantic dragon with nearly indestructable armor, a flamethrower, missile launchers, spiked tail, ice blasters, could fly as high as he wanted, and had so much strength he could lift one of Eggman's Egg Carriers (humongous ship bases) and throw them. Nothing could hurt him except for a team attack from SUPER Sonic, SUPER Tails, and SUPER Knuckles all at the same exact time. He took about 5 or 6 of those attacks before finally going down. When in his normal form, he can also emit a black shield around him that prevents him from getting hurt from anything. He's almost killed Sonic numerous times. Twice in the movie. He was able to tear through and demolish military and city defenses, and he almost destroyed an entire planet TWICE. He's been in giant explosions, hard landings, and expierenced a few powerful attacks. He still lives on as his own independent being planning out his next attack. Before you go around saying robots like him are weak, make sure you actually know the series first. You're messing with a hardcore fan of Sonic the Hedgehog, and Metal Sonic is my favorite character.

Well... I must say, that's given me an entire new respect for him. I had no idea. However, I am a hardcore fan of anime - and I can assure you, take a look at just one episode of DBZ and you'll have an entirely new view on "power". However... being a severe loyalist, I remain by my believe that a psychic is pretty near the most powerful being in the universe. One question though... "He's actually, in fact, one of the most powerful (and merciless) characters in the series." ... and who in your opinion would BE the most powerful and merciless?

Sorry to say, but I didn't really like DBZ. =( Seemed kind of repetitive, imo. (but I agree with the psychic thing, and I will explain why VERY soon) As for your question, THE most merciless character in the Sonic series has been proven to be Black Doom, leader of the alien race called the Black Arms. And... *gasp*... wouldn't you know it...he has psychic powers. In the past, he and Gerald Robotnik created Shadow, who was known to be the "Ultimate Life Form." Black Doom came back years later (while bad enough, Shadow had amnesia) and told Shadow that Shadow owes him the 7 Chaos Emeralds. Black Doom and the Black Arms fight the G.U.N. army, who was responsible for shooting Maria Robotnik, which is who Shadow keeps remembering. Black Doom attacks earth for more of a religious view rather than gaining power. Metal Sonic was power hungry and wanted to destroy all life (especially Sonic) simply so he could become the overlord of all living things. Metal Sonic didn't hesitate to kill, possibly due to the fact he has no sympathetic emotions except hate built within him. Black Doom is the same exact way, except he ain't no robot. He has a heart, and it's cold. Black Doom attacks earth because of all of human kind's sins. It's the day of reckoning for all human kind and Black Doom says it's their ultimate punishment. Black Doom is one of the very few villains in the series (Metal Sonic being another one) who actually kills people. Later in Shadow the Hedgehog: The Video Game, it reveals more about Black Doom. It ends up he's simply using Shadow for his own deeds. When he created Shadow on the ARK with Gerald Robotnik, the G.U.N. invaded the ARK. Black Doom seriously could've wiped them all out within a heartbeat, but instead he simply left Gerald and Maria Robotnik to die, and also the newly-created Shadow to possibly be destroyed. Black Doom gets into a fight with Shadow later. He gives Shadow quite a beating with his psychic and pyromatic powers. Eventually he is defeated, but he doesn't give up. Black Doom reveals his true identity. A gigantic fire-making hellish serpant that could seriously put Metal Sonic's dragon form to shame, as much as I hate to say it. Shadow turns into Super Shadow, and goes off into space to battle the now-called Demon Doom. Demon Doom sends a giant meteor to plummet to earth, destroying the whole planet. Super Shadow only had a little time to take down Demon Doom and save the planet. Super Shadow doesn't manage to kill Demon Doom, but Doom does eventually retreat. Super Shadow managed to destroy the meteor, and Doom found absolutely no reason to keep fighting now that his plan had been ruined. Demon Doom turned and went back to his home planet, vowing to Shadow that he will return. Metal Sonic and Black Doom/Demon Doom are pretty comparable in the Sonic series. Both showed no mercy, and both were non-hesitant to take lives for their own pleasure. In Sonic Next Generation, there will be two demons called Mephilies and Iblis. So far from information, they could be comparable to Doom and Metal Sonic too. But not everything has been revealed about them yet, so we will see. But for now, Doom is truly the most powerful character in the series thus far.
